Yee Haw! Put on your cowboy hats and saddle up your horses! The Victory Tour has arrived in District 10!
Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark rode into town today with their entourage, in time to be greeted by the excited citizens of Panem's 10th district.
Katniss and Peeta got into the spirit of District 10!
The first stop for the pair was the 'Brooder', where the baby chicks are housed. The Victors were each allowed to hold a chick for a photo opportunity before replacing them back into their incubator.
Miss Everdeen looked positively broody as they moved on to hand bottle-feed the lambs in their own enclosure. No one had the heart to tell her that those particular lambs are being reared for the slaughter and will probably go into her favourite meal, Lamb Stew and Plum Sauce, but such is the way of life in the Livestock District.
While Katniss discussed the advantages of a bow over a gun with a group of farmers, Peeta was offered a herding lesson by Beau Dalton, the finest cattle-herder in Panem. It's been rumoured that Dalton grazes a herd of over three hundred strong on the ranges of this rugged district. Unfortunately, Mr Mellark will not be joining Dalton's crew anytime soon as he confessed a little later that the experience was "harrowing" and he felt as though he could have "fallen from that horse at any second!" So there's the exclusive: Even a Hunger Games Victor can't hack the life of a rough and tough rancher on these unforgiving lands!

Once Mr. Mellark was safely back in his partner's arms, they were brought back into town by horse drawn carriage, where they met their stylists and changed for the evening's festivities. For dinner, Katniss wore a beautiful, pale yellow dress, which had a delicate feathered pattern weaved over the skirt in an admirable tribute to the chicks she'd been handling earlier in the day. Peeta followed in a stunning suit with a pocket square that Portia later revealed was made of District 10 leather.
Their escort handed them copies of their speeches on cue cards stamped with the District 10 bull's head, and the people that provide Panem's livestock were thanked for their hard work, support and dignity in loss.
Everdeen and Mellark canoodled over dinner until it was time to say their fond farewells.
Next stop on the Victory tour will no doubt be Peeta's favourite, Panem's Grain Refinery: District 9.
